You Feel the Call to Go Deeper. Life Keeps Saying “Not Yet.”

You’ve practised long enough to know yoga has changed something in you. You’ve looked at teacher trainings more than once. Saved a few. Pictured yourself in Bali.

Then you look at the dates.

Twenty-two days away. From your work. From your children. From the people and responsibilities that need you. So you close the tab, and tell yourself the same thing you told yourself last year:

“Maybe next year.”

And Next Year Looks a Lot Like This One

Waiting feels safe. But it has a cost, and it gradually compounds:

01

The gap keeps growing

Every month you wait, the distance widens between the practice you have and the one you know is possible.

02

The voice keeps asking “Am I ready?”

The longer you put it off, the more that question turns into self-doubt, making it even harder to take the first step.

03

When you finally go,

You try to absorb 200 hours in three weeks. Anatomy, philosophy, sequencing, teaching. So much information, so little time to process, practice, and truly integrate what you've learned.

04

And if you go fully online instead

You get the information, but miss the experiences that actually shape a teacher: being seen, receiving real-time adjustments, building confidence, and learning to hold a room.

You don’t need more motivation. You need a path that fits the life you actually have.

Introducing the 200-Hour Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training

Begin at home. Graduate in Bali.

We split our 200-hour Yoga Alliance training into two parts, so you get the depth of an immersion without stepping away from your life for a month.

Part 1 | Online

100 hours, at your own pace

Around 44 video lessons across 11 study days. Practice, philosophy, anatomy, and Asana Lab, the same rhythm as a day in our shala.

One year to complete. 100-hour certificate when you finish.

Part 2 | Ubud, Bali

10 days of live training

You join the final 10 days of a 22-day cohort: teaching practice, hands-on adjustment, integration, and graduation.

Graduate with your 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher certification.

Why This Works Better

You absorb instead of cram

Give each lesson time to settle into your body through practice, reflection, and repetition.

You practise in real life

Explore alignment in your kitchen and breathwork before a meeting. Let the teachings become part of your day.

You arrive ready to deepen

Bring your foundations into Bali, with more space for teaching practice, personal guidance, and connection.

You’re away 10 days, not 22

Spend less time away from home, making the journey easier to plan around work, family, and budget.

Same teachers. Same certificate

Learn with Deep, Sadhana, and our faculty across both parts, earning the same certification as our full immersion.

You revisit what needs time

Replay a lesson, return to a teaching, or pause to explore it on your mat before moving forward.

Is This Training Right for You?

This is for you if…

  • You want a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification but can't leave for a month.

  • You learn best with time to practise between lessons.

  • You have work, children, or people who need you at home.

  • You want to deepen your own practice, whether or not you teach.

  • You want your Bali days spent teaching, not catching up.

This is not for you if…

  • You want the full 22-day immersion in one go. Our full Bali training is made for you.

  • You only study when someone else sets the schedule.

  • You're looking for a certificate without the practice behind it.

“But Am I Ready?”

Many of our graduates arrived with less than a year of practice. Some had never taken a class before their training. You don’t need to be flexible, advanced, or sure you’ll teach. The first online lesson starts with your breath and your feet. You can pause, repeat, and return as many times as you need.

“As a beginner yogi I was hesitant to join a 200hr programme, but I have never felt more nurtured and capable than during my time at YNV.”

OUR MASTER LEVEL TEACHERS

World Class Yoga Teachers at Yoga New Vision

Our trainings are guided by master-level teachers who carry depth, maturity, and lived wisdom. This is not a space led by newly certified or inexperienced instructors.

At the heart of Yoga New Vision is founder Deep Kumar — an internationally respected teacher who has founded and led Siddhi Yoga, Deep Yoga Academy, and East+West Yoga. This is his most personal creation, shaped by years of refinement and a clear calling to share yoga in its most authentic form.

Deep has consciously brought together a hand-selected team of exceptional teachers who share the same depth, integrity, and vision.
Alongside Deep, co-founder Sadhana Om holds the nurturing heart of every training. Her presence creates a space of genuine safety and trust. She brings warmth, steadiness, and a quality of care that makes every student feel truly held throughout the journey.

Together, they uphold the highest standards of teaching, mentorship, care and presence.

This training is for those who seek real transmission, personal transformation, and self-development — supported by a globally valid certification that empowers you to teach yoga anywhere in the world.

Hatha Yoga vs Power Yoga A Yoga Teacher's Honest Guide to Choosing Your Practice

Deep Kumar

Founder & Lead Teacher · India

Deep Kumar came to yoga not as a career, but as a calling. Born and raised in India, he trained in some of the most prestigious academies in the country before spending two decades founding schools, teaching thousands of students, and quietly refining what he believed yoga could truly be.

Yoga New Vision is his fourth school, and his most personal. It is the one he built when he finally had the clarity to offer yoga in its purest, most embodied form.

In the shala, Deep is unlike most teachers you have encountered. He carries the curiosity of a scientist and the warmth of a dear friend. He teaches with laughter, with precision, and with a genuine delight in watching something unlock in you. Many call him the laughter yogi, and when you experience a session with him, you will understand why.

His philosophy is beautifully simple: understand your body, understand your mind, and in that understanding, you are already transformed.

In 2026, Deep personally teaches in every single training. Not as an occasional presence. As your primary guide, from the very first morning.

Sadhana Om

Co-Founder & Lead Teacher · India

Sadhana is an exceptional Yoga Teacher and Feminine Embodiment Guide with over a decade of experience in Yoga, Meditation, and Women’s work. In her teachings, she weaves together the wisdom of Tantra, Taoism, and Sufism, offering pathways into deeper awareness, love, and self-discovery. Rooted in the lineage of Himalayan mystics and enlightened masters, she bridges ancient wisdom with a modern perspective.
After six successful years in the corporate world, she felt a deeper calling and chose to dedicate her life to the path of yoga and inner transformation.
She spent years living and studying in ashrams across India, exploring Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Vedanta, Tantra, and Mantra Yoga.
She creates spaces where students feel seen, supported, and inspired. Her classes are deeply embodied, infused with devotion and presence.
The student who needs to be met somewhere the curriculum cannot reach. The moment that calls for a different kind of presence. Sadhana notices. She always does.

When she walks into the room, something settles. You will feel it from the very first session.

Introducing the program

Master the Alignments of Classical Sun Salutation

Twelve Poses. Twelve Teachings. One Complete Practice.

This course takes the sequence apart, teaches each position on its own terms, and then puts it back together as one continuous flow.

With 22 years of teaching experience, Deep Kumar guides you through the sequence the way he teaches it in the shala. He begins with the mistakes he has watched thousands of students make, then gives the correction, the adaptation, and the reason behind it. Foot placement before pose. Breath before speed. Understanding before flow.

Each lesson goes beyond learning the shape of a position. You will understand the alignment that supports it, the joint it puts at risk, the variations for tighter hamstrings, sensitive knees, or restricted shoulders, and the short cue that secures it.

And as the twelve positions come together, they become more than a sequence to repeat. Trust in the backbend. Humility in the fold. Release in the lunge. Courage in the plank. A new view in the inversion. Gratitude in the bow.

Ancient meaning · Modern clarity · One position at a time

Where physical precision becomes inner awareness

From Following the Flow to Understanding It

This course teaches you to work with principles rather than depend on a fixed set of instructions. As you practise, you begin to recognise when a knee needs to bend, when the back leg needs to lift, when the shoulders need to move away from the ears, and when to stop entirely. You also learn where each position becomes unsafe for your particular structure, and what to do about it.

It gives you the ability to adapt the sequence to the body you have today, which is not always the body you had yesterday.

It also travels. The foot alignment taught in the opening position is the same alignment you will use in every standing pose you ever practise. What you learn here does not stay inside Surya Namaskar.

One sequence, examined completely

What You Learn in a Sun Salutation Course

A meaningful alignment course gives you cues short enough to use mid-flow and reasons deep enough to trust.

YNV Icon 01 — Build from the ground up 1
01

Stand well before you move, building each foot on its two mounds and the centre of the heel, with a neutral pelvis above.

YNV Icon Body Alignment
02

Recognise the four structural patterns that change how you enter the sequence: knock knees, bow legs, hyperextended knees, and pelvic tilt.

YNV Icon Standing Backbend
03

Create the standing backbend from the legs and the side body, so the lower back and the throat stay free.

YNV Icon Forward Fold
04

Fold from the hip joints with the heart leading, bending the knees whenever the hamstrings ask for it.

YNV Icon Downward Dog
05

Place the hands so the wrists, elbows, and shoulders are supported through plank, eight-limb pose, and downward-facing dog.

YNV Icon Cobra Pose
06

Lift in cobra through the back muscles rather than pushing with the arms, with the buttocks descending toward the heels.

YNV Icon Low Lunge
07

Move through the transitions with control, since this is where most compensation hides.

YNV Icon Crescent Lunge
08

Coordinate the breath once alignment is familiar, including where to inhale, where to exhale, and where to pause.

What many practitioners miss is how small the corrections are. A heel turned out a few degrees. A thumb moved slightly closer to the index finger. A back knee lifted rather than sinking. None of them look dramatic from the outside. All of them change where the weight travels, and across a few hundred rounds that difference becomes the whole practice.

Begin exactly where you are

Who This Sun Salutation Course Is For

You do not need open hamstrings, a strong plank, or years of practice. You need a mat, a little curiosity, and a willingness to slow down.

01

Daily practitioners

Know that the round you repeat every morning is serving you rather than slowly wearing on you.

02

Yoga teachers

Bring fewer, clearer cues into the sequence you lead in almost every class.

03

Newer practitioners

Build the sequence correctly from the start rather than unlearning it later.

04

Vinyasa and Ashtanga practitioners

Understand what speed asks of the wrists, shoulders, and lower back.

05

Practitioners with sensitive joints

Find intelligent options for knees, wrists, necks, and lower backs that have something to say.

06

Curious students

Discover what the twelve positions have always meant, not only how to perform them.

200hrs-yttc-bali

You Do Not Need a Strong Practice

The journey starts with standing, because everything the sequence needs is already present there. You are never asked to straighten a leg that does not want to straighten, or to hold a plank you cannot yet hold. Bent knees, lifted heels, knees on the mat, blocks, and stopping to breathe are all part of intelligent practice.

Sixteen lessons · One complete round

The Complete 16-Lesson Curriculum

The course moves in the order of the sequence itself, from standing through to the final bow, then adds the transitions, the breath, and two complete guided rounds. Each lesson stands alone, so you can return to a single position whenever it needs attention.

Why This Sequence Has Been Practised for Centuries

Meet the structure of the course and meet Surya Namaskar as a physical, psychological, spiritual, and meditative practice.

Learning How to Simply Stand

Establish the standing foundation through the feet, knees, pelvis, spine, chest, shoulders, and head.

The Backbend That Asks You to Trust

Learn to create the standing backward bend through grounded legs, spinal length, heart opening, and a relaxed neck.

Go Forward, and Bend

Explore how to fold through the hip joints while preserving length through the spine and adapting for tighter hamstrings.

Where Held Things Are Released

Build stability through the front foot, knee, pelvis, back leg, spine, and breath within the lunge.

The Courage to Face Your Own Self

Develop whole-body support in plank through conscious use of the hands, shoulders, pelvis, legs, and feet.

The Yogi's Way of Bowing Down

Learn the eight-point bow with greater awareness through the wrists, elbows, shoulders, spine, chest, and neck.

Lift With the Back, Not the Arms

Explore Cobra through active back muscles, grounded legs, spinal length, heart opening, and reduced dependence on the hands.

Change the View, Change the Vision

Find spinal length and shoulder freedom while adapting the legs according to your own mobility.

The Part of the Sequence Nobody Teaches

Learn different ways to step forward while preserving knee alignment, spinal length, pelvic support, and control through the transition.

Everything, In Order, Together

Bring the individual alignment principles together through one complete, consciously guided round.

Why Love Comes Before Logic

Explore Deep's intention behind beginning with the left side and experience additional support through inner-thigh and core awareness.

Where to Inhale, Where to Exhale

Add breath coordination once the physical alignment has become familiar, allowing breath and movement to begin working as one.

Securing the Joints, Position by Position

Distil the course into clear alignment cues and experience the complete practice with attention to vulnerable joints and muscular support.

The Child You Are Practising Back Toward

Return to the deeper intention of yoga through flexibility, relaxed breathing, innocence, playfulness, inner quiet, and enjoyment of life.

Slow It Down Until It Becomes Meditation

Discover how slowing Classical Sun Salutation down can transform the sequence into a meditative practice.

“Understand your body, understand your mind, and through that understanding, transformation begins.“

Twelve Poses. One Journey from Body to Presence.

What makes his teaching of Sun Salutation distinctive is where it starts. Not with the ideal shape, but with what he has actually watched happen in a room: the knee that drifts inward, the shoulder that creeps toward the ear, the lower back that takes the weight the legs should be carrying. He teaches the correction because he has seen the mistake, thousands of times, in thousands of bodies.

In the shala, Deep is unlike most teachers you have encountered. He carries the curiosity of a scientist and the warmth of a dear friend. Ancient wisdom, taught with modern clarity

The School Behind the Course

Yoga New Vision has refined its heart-led approach through years of teaching many bodies, cultures, and ways of learning.

At Yoga New Vision, we believe wisdom has many voices. The ancient teachings of Indian yoga speak to the soul. Modern science speaks to the body. Eastern philosophy maps the inner landscape. Western psychology and research give language to what we feel, live, and pass on. When all of these are honoured fully, something beautiful happens, not a compromise, but a coming home.

This is the heart of our YNV Method: a holistic approach where Eastern wisdom meets Western science, where ancient philosophy meets modern psychology, and where timeless practice is illuminated by today’s research. We hold every tradition with equal reverence.

What Students Say About Learning With Deep

Fifteen thousand students since 2009, in more than fifty countries, and five stars across Google, Yoga Alliance and Facebook. What moves us is not the number. It is the note that arrives from someone practising alone in a living room on the other side of the world, who has just understood a pose they have been doing for ten years.

Frequently Asked Questions

The course is described with its scope and limitations in full, because clear expectations are part of a learning space built on trust.

The Course and Its Purpose

Master the Alignments of Classical Sun Salutation is a self-paced online sun salutation course taught by Deep Kumar. Across 16 lessons it covers the alignment of every position in the classical Surya Namaskar sequence, the transitions between them, breath coordination, joint safety, and the meaning each position has carried in the yogic tradition.
No. The course is designed for both yoga practitioners and teachers. Practitioners can use it to understand what their most repeated sequence is doing in their body, while existing teachers can refine the cues they give in almost every class. It does not qualify a new teacher or replace a complete yoga teacher-training program.
No. You do not need open hamstrings or a strong plank. The course begins with standing alignment and includes bent-knee folds, lifted heels, knees-down variations, and block support throughout. The goal is to understand your own structure and breath, not to force your body toward a standardised final shape.
The classical twelve-position Surya Namaskar. Deep teaches it with one considered variation: he uses plank as well as downward-facing dog, to build strength alongside spinal length. He explains his reasoning, and the alignment principles apply whichever version of the sequence you practise.

Studying and Access

The total video runtime is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes across 16 lessons. Your actual learning time will be longer, because the course is designed to be practised, paused, and revisited. You may complete it intensively or spread it across several weeks or months.
The course is self-paced. There are no live sessions, cohort dates, or required attendance times. You can begin after enrollment and move through the lessons according to your own schedule.
You receive lifetime course access through your Yoga New Vision account. That matters here, because sun salutation is a sequence you will keep practising. When one position starts to feel unclear again, that lesson is still there.
A mat is enough to begin. A block is useful in several lessons, particularly for the inner-thigh and core work, and Deep also refers to belts, blankets, walls, and a stack of books as support. You can gather what you need lesson by lesson rather than all at once.

Safety, Certification, and Scope

Yes. After completing all 16 lessons and 20 hours of personal practice, you can receive a 20-hour continuing education certificate issued through Yoga New Vision's Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) offering. For Registered Yoga Teachers, this learning can support Yoga Alliance continuing education requirements.
The video lessons are the teaching. The 20 hours are the practice you do with them, on your own mat, applying what each lesson covers. You keep your own record of that practice and confirm completion when you request the certificate. The exact request method will be published with the course.
No. The YACEP certificate recognises continuing education only. It is not an RYT 200, RYT 300, or RYT 500 teaching qualification and does not qualify a new teacher. It can sharpen how an existing teacher cues sun salutation. If you want to become a certified yoga teacher, explore Yoga New Vision's 200-hour teacher-training program.
No. Some lessons include thoughtful modifications and general safety guidance, but the course does not diagnose conditions, prescribe rehabilitation, or provide individual therapy. Seek qualified medical or therapeutic guidance for injuries, recent surgery, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or other conditions that make a position uncertain.
Often yes, and much of the course exists for this.
